Instagram tests advertisements in Canvas format

Instagram began testing the advertisements in the Stories section and in the Canvas format that was first launched on Facebook in 2016.

Canvas can include played in-line videos and full-screen, pictures carrousels and panoramic images which users will be able to swipe. As marked an Instagram representative, the company was concentrated on transferring business importance to advertisers. Canvas suggests a smooth increase of the full screen usage in order to help marketers to present products.  

Now the new format is available only to a limited number of brands that buy advertising through the Instagram API.
