Google announced about forthcoming disabling of the Scanner tool for applications in Search Console.

The company noted that this step is made in order to “avoid unnecessary duplication” since all the necessary information is available in the Firebase documentation.

Google launched Fetch As Google for Apps in 2015. In May 2016 the company renamed Google App Indexing in Firebase App Indexing.
