The SEO community has been arguing about the decreasing position of links. James Murray, EMEA Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft Bing commented the latest situation with links in his recent interview with the Digital Marketing Blog "Impression".
James Murray explained that links are not going to disappear and they will continue to be one of the most important factors. But what specialists can see is that links start to decrease in importance in the general context of the different factors that are used to identify relevance.
Murray also considers that links will continue to serve their purposes. But through the search history or live data the search engine will have more possibilities to personalize search and to use different signs which will manage the search engines decisions on what is most relevant to the user at that time.
